The Rhythm Road: American Music Abroad is produced by Jazz at Lincoln Center and the U.S. Department of State. Presented with generous support from WPFW 89.3 FM.
6 p.m. – Jed Levy Quartet This New York-based ensemble explores a wide variety of approaches to the modern jazz idiom based on each band member’s unique professional experiences.
7:15 p.m. – The Earth String Band From Boston, this fiery and improvisational group combines bluegrass and contemporary acoustic music with soulful songwriting and musicianship, creating earthy rhythms and melodious hooks that form a unique, infective vibe.
