The award-winning photography of William Albert Allard travels the route of the Blues Highway from the music’s humble routes in the Mississippi Delta to the modern rhythms echoing through the streets of Chicago. More than just a story of music, the exhibition reflects history and the cultural phenomenon that followed the path of the great black migration. Thousands traveled from the cotton fields and church choirs of the South to the cities and jobs in factories of the North, taking their musical traditions on the journey.
