Each day brings more awareness of the consequences of our current model of agriculture and food distribution: food contamination, pollution, resource depletion, and increased obesity. The award-winning film Fresh celebrates the farmers, thinkers, and business people who are reinventing this system, forging healthier, more sustainable alternatives while offering a practical vision for feeding our planet in the 21st century. This screening will be followed by a discussion with filmmaker Ana Sofia Joanes, Joel Salatin, owner of Polyface Farms, and Ann Yonkers, co-director, FRESHFARM Markets. Watch Trailer
Presented as part of the Environmental Film Festival in the Nation’s Capital, and with support from FRESHFARM Markets, promoting food with a face, a place, and a taste in the Chesapeake Bay region
