Due to inclement weather, the Museum was closed on Saturday, February 6 and Sunday, February 7. Alternate viewing hours for individual ticketholders will be announced as soon as possible.
At National Geographic Museum in Washington D.C., past and current expeditions, adventures, and scientific research come to life. The museum is located at 17th and M Streets NW in downtown Washington, D.C., a short walk from Metro’s Farragut North and Farragut West stations.

Regular Hours: Monday – Saturday: 9 am to 5 pm; Sundays: 10am to 5 pm. Closed December 25.
Inclement Weather Policy
The National Geographic Museum generally does not close due to weather conditions. Ticket holders wishing to inquire about whether the Museum is open or closed should call +1 202 857 7588. If the recording does not mention a closing, the Museum is open. When the Museum is open, tickets are nonrefundable. If the Museum closes due to inclement weather, group reservations may be rescheduled by contacting the Group Sales Office. Individual ticket holders will be offered alternate viewing hours during which they may visit the exhibition. Alternate hours will be posted on the exhibition website as soon as possible.
