Andrew Zolli is an acclaimed leader in the fields of global foresight, social innovation, and resilience. He serves as curator and executive director of PopTech, a global innovation network which brings together scientists, technologists, engineers, designers, business leaders, social entrepreneurs, ecologists, and others to collaborate on new approaches to the world’s toughest challenges.
Zolli divides his time between the big picture analysis of trends that have the potential to help us achieve a sustainable society, such as the eco-industrial revolution, and the more specific focus of connecting people and companies to their most important choices. CEOs, educators, scientists, and government leaders all look to Zolli to help them develop smart design, employ emerging technologies, prepare for sweeping demographic changes, and institute best practices to keep their organizations nimble and lean in an era of extraordinary competition.
Andrew has served as a fellow of the National Geographic Society, and his work and ideas regularly appear in dozens of leading publications and media outlets including PBS, The New York Times, NPR, Vanity Fair, Fast Company, Wired, and many others.
In July 2012, Andrew’s next book, Resilience: Why Things Bounce Back, will be published by Free Press, a division of Simon and Schuster. In a time marked by upheaval—from natural disasters and economic crises to political turmoil and climate change—Resilience explores why some systems, people, and communities fall apart in the face of disruption while others bounce back.
