After 11 years as a management consultant, Roz Savage dropped everything, and entered the Atlantic
Rowing Race as a solo rower—the only solo woman ever to compete in that race. After 103 days of storms, solitude and soul-searching, she arrived in Antigua. At the time of this writing (July 2009), Savage is attempting to become the first woman to row solo across the Pacific. Her book Rowing the Atlantic (Simon & Schuster) will be available for sale/signing.
