One of the most accomplished scholars of human origins, Donald Johanson has produced some of
the field’s most groundbreaking discoveries, including the most widely known fossil of the 20th century, the 3.2-million-year-old skeleton called Lucy, marking an important step on the path to Homo sapiens. Johanson’s new book, Lucy’s Legacy: The Quest for Human Origins, tells her story, and at this presentation he will share an intimate look at how her discovery and others have transformed our understanding of evolution.
