Photograph by Joel Sartore

Best known for his photographs of wildlife, particularly endangered species, Joel Sartore wields his camera in the battle to conserve natural spaces and the habitats they support. This mission has taken him to some of the world’s most remote and dangerous places, where he has risked serious illness and exposed himself to attacks by deadly animals in order to get images that bear testimony to the plight of our natural world. His entertaining presentations blend humor with powerful conservation messages and award-winning photography of wildlife and the places they inhabit.

For a story to be published in the November 2010 issue of National Geographic, Sartore tracked the annual migrations of iconic North American species, from bobcats and pronghorn antelopes, to the amazing journeys of monarch butterflies and sandhill cranes.

In this presentation, you’ll step behind the camera with this distinguished wildlife photographer as he shares amazing stories and images of animals on the move. A book sale and signing will follow the presentation.
