For 40 years, the late Tom Abercrombie traveled for National Geographic magazine, pushing global boundaries. Tom’s wife Lynn Abercrombie, herself an accomplished photojournalist, often joined him on assignment. To celebrate a new book of their stunning images, Lynn with daughter and book publisher Mari will share amazing stories and photographs.

TRAFFIC ALERT: On Tuesday, March 6, M Street and 16th Street are scheduled to be closed from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. To park in the National Geographic garage, please enter 17th Street and DeSales. To enter the building from the street, please use the 17th Street Museum entrance to walk across the courtyard to the M Street lobby.

Read a tribute to Tom Abercrombie from the August 2006 National Geographic, and view (and listen to) a gallery of Tom’s images.
