Amory Lovins
Photograph courtesy RMIJoin us on Oct. 27 to hear Amory B. Lovins, co-founder, chairman and chief scientist of Rocky Mountain Institute, unveil Reinventing Fire: Bold Business Solutions for the New Energy Era. As the first release of the ground-breaking, peer-reviewed Reinventing Fire analysis, the book offers a practical, actionable guide to a more competitive U.S. economy by 2050 that leverages opportunities for job creation and growth for the nation, ending our addiction to fossil fuels with the power of efficiency and renewables.
Lovins, a physicist and MacArthur Foundation “genius” grant winner whom Time magazine in 2009 named one of the most influential people in the world, will give a short presentation on the Reinventing Fire analysis. This will be followed by a panel discussion on how businesses can lead America toward a more prosperous, secure and low-carbon economy. On the panel, Lovins will be joined by SunPower founder and CTO Thomas Dinwoodie, Guggenheim Securities Senior Managing Director and automotive expert John Casesa, and former SVP of Technology at ConocoPhillips Stephen Brand. The event will conclude with a Q&A session, where questions will be solicited from the audience to encourage engagement and dialogue.
