Hours and Admission

Museum Open Daily 10:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.
Our main exhibit space is currently closed for installation. Please feel free to visit our free photography exhibit “Invisible Boundaries: Exploring Yellowstone’s Great Animal Migrations.”

The Museum is a private, nonprofit institution. Your admission fee helps the Museum deliver world-class exhibitions and programming. We welcome visitors to enjoy the M Street Lobby photography exhibit, the light box photography exhibit, tours, and drop-in activities free of charge.

The prices below include access to all exhibitions. Last ticket sold at 5:00 p.m. daily.

Children 5–12 (free under 5)—$10
Annual Pass Member—Free

Please visit the Ticket Desk at the 17th Street entrance for information about National Geographic, our exhibitions, National Geographic Live! events, and the neighborhood.

Special ticket packages are available for National Geographic Live! and Museum events. Please refer to the season program schedule for a full list of events and prices.

National Geographic Live! Speaker Events:
Unless indicated otherwise, all National Geographic Live! events in Washington, D.C., take place at the Gilbert H. Grosvenor Auditorium, a comfortable and intimate 385-seat theater located in the Society’s headquarters building.

Learn how to bring a student group (school, summer camp, scout, or other youth group) to the Museum and Live! events.
