How can I find a "National Geographic Live" event near me?

Why are there no "National Geographic Live" events in my city?
A: National Geographic Live is presented in partnership with local performing arts presenters. If you would like to have our series come to your market, please share your request with the programming director at your local theater.
Are these events appropriate for kids? What is the recommended age for these events?
A: Our talks are appropriate for children ages 5 and up unless noted on the event page.
How long do the talks run?
A: Talks run approximately 90 minutes long with a 15-minute question and answer session following the talk.
Do you offer sign language interpretation, assistive listening devices, captioned performances, and/or accessible seating?

A: All National Geographic Live speakers come to the venue lobby for a book signing and/or audience meet & greet post-show. Please contact your local presenting venue for more details.

A: National Geographic has a Speakers Bureau offering a broad range of talent, covering a variety of topics related to exploration, adventure, discovery, science, conservation, history, and current events. Please contact us at SPEAKERS@NATGEO.COM so we may understand more about your event and help identify a speaker within your budget.
What are the fees associated with hiring a National Geographic speaker?
A: Fees for National Geographic speakers begin at $10,000 plus travel expenses. Please contact us SPEAKERS@NATGEO.COM to learn more.
Can I use the National Geographic brand for my event?
A: In most cases, you may use the National Geographic Live logo to co-brand your event. Usage guidelines apply.

Will the content be appropriate for my class?
A: All of our speakers have customized programs for students. We recommend that you group students together with no more than three grades in one performance, so that the content can be customized appropriately. Example: grades 2-4, grades 5-8, grades 9-11. Please note grade-level appropriateness for each program before you register. Recommended grade levels are listed on each student matinee event page.
